TRANSTEL SPECIFICATIONS

A. General

The digital PABX capacities shall cover the capacity of C.O ( Central Office/ Telkom) lines and extension lines as shown on the drawing with the highly innovative field of combined voice, data, and text switching.
The design has given full attention to good functional modularity, thus permitting system versions to involve by module upgrading.
In the modules, the technical uniformity has been achieved as the following:

Hardware:
• Lower cost and easier to upgrading of the existing equipment capacities.
• Easy maintenance, service and spare part supply
• Support 19 “ Racking system

Software:
• Easily operation and programming
• The various function, facility and capacity can be operated by the same software
package.

B. System

v The system shall have the critical components such as Main Processing Unit ( MPU) , memory, control circuit and power, which enable to function continuously.

v If combined with the same brand, facility at one system shall be exactly the same as the others, in a uniformity ( Fully transparency)

v The system must have internal Voice mail system

v The system must support Access control, Door Opener and Time recording terminal

v The system must have IP Address and be programmed via Local Area Network

v The system must be operated without an operator

v The system must have free numbering digit assign configuration and will be able to combine multi digit in the system operation

v The system must be used to activate voice mail or other equipment which need DTMF tone, so the system must be able to change telephone pulse to DTMF tone

v The system must have Personal Identification Code facility which make easily
Charging allocation.

v The system must be able to connect to analog extension with distance > 6 km and
digital extension with minimum 300 m by standard cable.

v The system must be flexible expandable

v Phone programming during conversation:

v The system must be able to do the system programming via his digital phone set during conversation

C. PABX

v The PABX must be digital central with stored program control/ computer control

v The PABX must be noiseless switching and requires the minimum place and
maintenance.

v The PABX must be fully electronic switching and of modular type, that can be easily expanded.

v The Extension and CO line must be easily expanded by adding module without
changing the existing system.

v The PABX must have a proper case of the switching equipment.

v The PABX must be central type, low electrical consumption, and doesn’ t need a special cooler.

v The PABX should have internal cooler.

v The module must have lightning protection, power 220 vrms, over-load and heat
Protection

v The PABX must have power failure transfer, so the CO Line can changed automatically to the determined extension if electrical power or back up battery is off.

v The PABX must be able to connect to either the analog extension of LD type and/ or DTMF or digital extension of ISDN ( 2 B+ D) standard. The digital extension must be capable to communicate either voice or data simultaneously ( Full duplex)

v The PABX must be able to connect to analog or digital CO line ( ISDN) , according to CCITT standard for primary access ( 30B+ D)

v The PABX must support Hot swap for Trunk and Extension

v The PABX must have function and facility needed to communicate to voice
communication, data communication, and capable to be connected to a network
either star, mesh or combination.

v The PABX must have 4 ( four) extension categories:

* Direct access, extension can communicate externally without operator’ s help
* Indirect Access, Extension needed operator’ s help to make external communication.
* No Access, Extension cannot make external communication
* Toll Access, Extension needed personal identification number to make external
Communication

D. Capability and Facility

v Administrative Procedure
The procedure for data/ parameter change used to operational use or maintenance
must be easy via operator console or internet explorer.

v Call Accounting
System must be able to record outgoing call, incoming call and even intercom call.

v System must have budgeting for extension and/ or Personal Identification Number

v Console less operation.

v System must support PC console which have a message capability and can be operate independently

v Capable to operate although the operator console is not activated

v Customer Programming Control
Programming can be arranged to customer’ s need. The user can change their own
Extension programming.

v Direct in termination
Capable to connect directly to the required extension, such as hot-line, direct line
for the director, or facsimile.

v Distinctive Ringing

v Diversion Dial Tone

The communication shall be released immediately, if one party hangs up

Each extension and/ or PIN can be classified according to Toll class hierarchy.

v Alarm and Wake Up Reminder Method:
System must be able to define BGM, DND tone, External MOH or VMS Music as Reminder Tone.

v Flexible Trunk Identification:
The system must be able to define different name, Ring Scheme or MOH per each
trunk to identify it separately.

v Caller ID Log:
The system must have Caller ID records.

v On Line recording.
The system should be able record by pushing any button needed if the user need to record the conversation.

E. Data Communication Facility

v Call forwarding
Call can be switch to other extension if no answer and/ or busy

v One touch dialing
Dialing an extension or more with just one special digit or code

v Group hunting
The system must be able to connect to the telephone which use simultaneous
voice and data at a pair of cable

v Flexible Automatic Busy Redial:
The system must be able to define the ABR Flash, Interval and Attempt.

F. Operator Facility

General

Operator shall be equipped with buttons, indicators and displays.
• Buttons
Used to call and communicate and activated features.
• Indicator
Indicate extension and CO Line that being use, status and alarm.
• Display
Displayed extension number, trunk that being use, duration during
communication and when idle condition will displayed day, hour, minute and
second.

Facility

v Alternate Attendant( Operator) :
The system must be able to set successively order for Operator. When first
operator is busy, system will automatically transfer incoming call to the second
operator.

v Overflow extension
At busy time, incoming call to operator can be overflow to another extension

v Fast Call Handling
The operator can directly transfer the call to the extension without any
Announcement.

v Busy override of trunk
If all trunk are busy, operator can interrupt the communication and announce that
the line is required for emergency and the operator can cut off the conversation

v Incoming Call Hold
If the operator cannot immediately connect the call to extension, the operator can
place the call on hold and the caller can hear music ( music on hold)

v Simple Voice Paging
If paging equipment will be connected to PABX or using another digital phone,
the operator can page to make an announcement.

v Automatic Call Distribution
For information center or call center used to serve public, the operators can be
grouped and the system can distribute the call evenly to all operator agents.

G. Night service Facility

The system must have 2 normal operation as follow
• Day service
• Night service

v Night Service Transfer:
Operator must be able to set in advance an external destination number for
transferring incoming call when activate the night service.

v Extension used as the night service must also be used for other purposes which have been programmed earlier.

v The extension which is programmed to receive call during the night service must be function normally during the day service

v Individual Night extension
An special extension can be allocated to the receive special incoming line during the night service.

v Cancellation
The night service facility can be manually activated and de-activated from
the operator console

H. Extension Facility

v Music On Hold
Music will be heard to either trunk or extension if being transferred or waiting
Music on hold can be recorded and selected either internal or external and can be played together according to the trunk selection

v Call Forwarding
If a call to an extension and not answered, after a period of time, the call will be
switch to other extension

v Group Hunting
Extension can be grouped in a hunting group but individual number at each
extension functions as usual. If hunting number is dialed, the member of the
hunting group will ring either in cycle, fixed sequence or together.

v Call Pick Up
Each extension can pick up call for other extension which is in a pick up group
and or not in pick up group by dialing a special code.

v Abbreviated Dialing
a. Common pool abbreviated Dialing
The common abbreviated dialing for all extensions.
b. Individual Abbreviated Dialing
The abbreviated dialing is only use for the corresponding extension.
c. Last External Number Repetition
If the last number fails to be connected, the number can be redialed by pushing a
special code.

v Follow me
A call to extension A which have been programmed the follow me feature to
extension B, will call extension B automatically.

v Automatic Ring Back
If extension A call extension B but extension B is busy, the caller can dial the
automatic ring back code and hang up the handset. If extension B become idle it
will rung and automatically connected to extension A.

v Barge In
The extension with barge-in facility can interrupt the communication

v Conference
The system must be able to make conference with more than 10 party internal
and external.

v Transfer without answering
A external or internal call can be transferred to other extension directly without
being answer.

v Extension Lock
Each Extension must be able to be locked at anytime by the dialing a special code.

v Multi Line
The extension can simultaneously communicate to the external line ( CO line,
VOIP, Digital, GSM, CDMA) ; Communicate one by one using swap method , or
simultaneously using conference facility

v Multi Tenant
The Extension ( digital & analog) can function as an operator console for
extension groups and must have more than 15 operator console.

v Virtual extension
Virtual extension can be create easily for external dial in and out and can be integrate with voice mail box system

I. Telephone Management Systems

The Personal Computer ( PC) which consist of software shall be connected to the PABX via LAN.

Billing System

v The Billing system can display and analyze the cost estimation of telephone usages per department, extension, trunk, PIN at any time or in a period of time.

v The Billing system must have budgeting per PIN and/ or per extension so that the
operation cost can be controlled.

v The Billing system must be able to record internal call and also defined the cost of the call.

v The Billing system must be a server-client so that can be monitored in many places via LAN.

v The Billing system must be able to record outgoing call and incoming call and
